ABOUT SUNSET HQ

WE BUILT THE GYM WE ALWAYS WANTED

WE BUILT THE GYM WE ALWAYS WANTED

Welcome to Sunset HQ, a gym built by people who needed one and refused to wait around for it. We're not here to sell you a lifestyle or promise you a transformation. We're just a community of people who show up, put in the work, and keep each other accountable along the way. But to understand what this place really is, you have to know where it came from.

They took the gyms so we built our own.

They took the gyms so we built our own.

When the gyms shut down during the pandemic, the answer felt pretty obvious. Find a space, sign the lease, get to work. We had South Vancouver roots and that neighborhood never taught us to wait around for someone else to solve the problem. The doors opened and that was supposed to be the hard part.

Keeping the lights on was a different fight entirely.

Keeping the lights on was a different fight entirely.

Nothing about the first few years was easy and we're not going to pretend otherwise. There were real moments where walking away would have been the simpler choice. You figure it out or you figure it out.

Who we are today wasn't decided on the day we signed the lease. It was built month by month, through every problem we had to solve to stay in business. That process of surviving and adapting is what turned Sunset HQ from a space into a culture. You can feel it when you walk in.

No judgement, just show up.

No judgement, just show up.

Whether you're starting fresh, coming back after a rough stretch, or just trying to stay consistent when life gets loud, you'll fit right in here. We built this for people who keep going even when the progress feels invisible. That's the whole story, really. We're proof it works out if you stick around long enough.
